Seattle, WA, APRIL 30, 2026: The Washington State Jewish Historical Society (WSJHS), in partnership with the Holocaust Center for Humanity, is proud to announce that its landmark exhibition, Twenty Years of Jewish Storytelling, will be on display at the Holocaust Center for a limited three-week engagement from May 1st, 2026, to June 7, 2026.

This special collaboration brings together two leading institutions dedicated to preserving and sharing Jewish history, memory, and lived experience in Washington State and beyond. This exhibit, curated by longtime Executive Director Lisa Kranseler, celebrates a remarkable chapter in WSJHS history: two decades of preservation, connection, and legacy.

Over the past 20 years, WSJHS has produced a wide range of exhibitions, public programs, and publications documenting Jewish life across Washington State. From immigrant beginnings to stories of sports, business leadership, and multi-generational families, these projects have preserved voices that might otherwise have been lost. The exhibition presents these initiatives through a dynamic visual timeline, tracing the evolution of WSJHS’s work and its deepening impact on the community.

More than a retrospective, Twenty Years of Jewish Storytelling is a living, traveling legacy. Visitors will be invited not only to explore the past, but also to contribute to the future through WSJHS’s updated oral history platform and its expanding digital museum, the Washington Jewish Museum.

The exhibition will be open to the public during regular museum hours at the Holocaust Center for Humanity, located in Belltown at 2045 2nd Avenue.

About the Holocaust Center for Humanity

The Holocaust Center for Humanity is a museum and educational center dedicated to preserving Holocaust history with an emphasis on local stories. Learning about the Holocaust helps us understand how ordinary people and institutions can be drawn into systems of hatred and violence—and how others chose to resist. It reveals the fragility of democracy, the power of prejudice, and the consequences of indifference. By studying this important history, we honor the victims, confront the complexities of human behavior, and reflect on what it means to act with responsibility and humanity today. www.holocaustcenterseattle.org
