Maria Abrams Frank
Maria Frank Abrams, born in Debrecen, describes her early interest in art and her studies as a painting major at the University of Washington. She recounts meeting Mark Tobey in Paris and discusses her creative process, inspirations, and her work designing sets and costumes for organizations, including the Seattle Opera and the Jewish Community Center. Abrams also reflects on her wartime experiences in concentration camps, including Bergen-Belsen, and how these events influenced her life and art.
