Dennis Warshal

In his oral history interview, Dennis Warshal reflects on his early life growing up in Seattle’s Madrona neighborhood and later childhood years in Bellevue, Washington. He shares memories of Warshal’s Sporting Goods, his family’s business, and describes its role and setting in post-World War II downtown Seattle. Warshal also discusses his involvement and recognition within Jewish community organizations, as well as his family history. A significant portion of the interview focuses on the story of his uncle Milton Warshal’s death as a prisoner of war during the D-Day invasion period.
