Interactive Map
The WSJHS Interactive Map allows you to discover and trace the many locations referenced throughout our oral history interviews. Because each life story is shaped by movement and place, a single interview may include multiple tagged locations, reflecting journeys that span neighborhoods, cities, states, and countries.
Through these maps, you can explore where stories unfold and how people’s lives connect to specific places. Locations are visible directly on the map and are also linked within individual oral history pages, making it easy to move between geographic context and personal narrative.
By visually mapping these movements, we aim to highlight the global connections within our collection and provide a richer way to engage with the people, places, and histories represented in our oral histories.
