Judy Lash Balint founded Seattle Action for Soviet Jewry in 1974. She was a Vice President of the Union of Councils for Soviet Jews, a national umbrella group of Soviet Jewry activists, between 1980-1989. Judy made Aliyah in 1998, and currently works for a Jerusalem-based think tank.
