Lea Hanan


Lea Hanan is the 2019 recipient of the Pamela Waechter z"l Jewish Communal Professional Award, honoring professionals in Jewish organizations who embody the qualities of leadership and service that Pamela Waechter z"l brought to Jewish Puget Sound. 

Lea is a Seattle native and an alumna of both the Seattle Hebrew Academy (SHA) and Northwest Yeshiva High School. She has served as Program Director at Congregation Ezra Bessaroth, as well as Director of Sephardic Adventure Camp. Giving to others is of paramount importance to her and she instills that value in her students. Lea spearheads SHA's active role in supporting Jewish Family Service's food bank, with a goal of donating over 1,000 bags of food this year.
