Portrait doll ( hand made) of First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. She has dark brown hair in an upsweep style, ball gown of very pale peach satin with two trains attached to back and shoulders, crystal seed bead trim on bodice with pink sequins, short sleeves w/ beaded trim, beige petticoat and bloomers w/ lace trim, small tan leather shoes, nailed to stand.
First Lady of the United State Eleanor Roosevelt (1884-1962) was a social activist and writer. As wife of President Franklin D. Roosevelt she gained the reutation as a campaigner for progressive social causes. She served as a delegate to the Univted Nations from 1945 to 1953. Roosevelt served as chair to the commission that drafted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
